We've started thinking about how we will frame in the walls for the spray foam. Since the metal tubes we installed for the rooftop deck aren't flat against the walls, there will be plenty of room for insulation and plumbing and wiring.

We decided to weld some brackets out of spare 2x2 angle iron we already had, which is what the wood framing will be screwed into.

This past summer, Dad welded in metal tubes through the roof of the bus down to the floor. This is how we will attach the rooftop deck and solar panels.

The tubes are perpendicular to the wall so they would fit inside the bus hat channels.

We are back to working in the bus after vacation.

We are back to working in the bus after vacation. Dad and Uncle John got all the passenger window openings cut and the frames made to install them. I'm going to clean up and prime around the windows tomorrow so we can install them.
These windows will let in so much light!! There are 7 on the passenger, and will be 5 on the driver's side, not counting the drivers window. .

Today, I flew home after exploring Boston and NYC

Today, I flew home after exploring Boston and NYC for a week and a half. As soon as I touched down in Dallas, I got some brisket on my layover to Austin. I can't tell you how good it feels to be home and have some proper BBQ! This is definitely something I'll have to bring in the bus with me when I start traveling!

I love flying, especially during the day, when you can see the beautiful blue/black of the sky, and imagine you're in space! Plus, you get to see all the miniture things on the ground. 😄 .
Do you like flying during the day, or do you prefer to see the sparkly lights at night? Also, what food from home do you miss when you're traveling, when it just does not taste the same?
